Question by Anonymous: Is dodge a good car brand?

A carmax dealer told me to stay away from Pontiac brands, their cars break down after a few years, adn they are crap and I also heard neons are crap which is a Dodge” brand, and I wanted to get the charger, so is that a good car? what is the cyclinder? Like my cobalt is a 4 cyclinder which takes less gas, well w/ the gas nowadays its to fill, but used to be -20 for a full tank, can some1 tell me who has a charger how much gas u spend too? Thanks!
ya I know for sure FORD is a great brand, my sis still has her little car and going! LOL BTW, DONT BUY A COBALT, I bought it brand new, and the piece of crap was a lemon, kept shaking and had to have updates to the computer, and other crap, chevy sucks!!

  1. I am on my second Dodge Caravan after nearly 30 years of owning Fords. I have found BOTH brands to be very reliable, with few major repairs needed over the years.

  2. Hell yeah I own one now and it’s been great other then the check engine light comes on but it runs great

dodge is a good brand of car, i have drove dodges for over 30 years and they do give some problems but compared to other vehicles sometimes their problems seem to be small, any car will give problems and you can get a dodge in a v-6 ,4 cylinder or a v-8,the v-8,s in the dodges are hard on gas, their v-6,s and 4 cylinders though aren’t to bad,it all depends on what you want and need in a car,the charger is a nice car,it does good for what it is,good luck.

  4. Just like any brand, they have their good cars and bad. I had a 1993 Dodge Caravan that was given to me, 3.0L V6 and 3 speed automatic, and while I dislike automatics in ANY vehicle, the transmission never cost me any money other than routine maintenance.

The 3.0L was bulletproof, it burned a lot of oil, but it wouldn’t die. My Dodge Caravan went well over 200,000 miles on the original engine and transmission.

So I can’t speak for the Charger, but my experience with Dodge has been A+.

    if you’re American, it is

  6. sure..

  7. One of my vehicles is a Neon. I can honestly that while it did have some teething problems its first couple of years, it has proved to be a very reliable car for me. If Dodge still made the Neon, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy one ( but don’t get me started on the Caliber… )

While I cannot comment directly on the Charger, the Dodge brand has been good to me.

Ive never had a problem with any of my dodges. Maybe im lucky but i have owned gm and ford and lots of problems with both. I know every car has its prob and Dodge has theres but I have always had good luck with them and I like there design(well most of them). Oh and im not a fan of the Cobalt either!!
